Jennifer Watson

Jennifer has been with Whitsons for over 14 years as an integral part of the Sales and Marketing departments. As Whitsons’ Director of Communications, Jennifer leads our business development efforts in writing proposals and client communications, as well as designing and implementing direct marketing and social media campaigns. She is editor-in-chief of our corporate newsletter, Traditions, and team member e-newsletter, Monthly Happenings. She also supports the operations team on a variety of projects, including concept development, coordination of company meetings and documentation control. She is also actively involved in our not for profit charitable Whitsons Family Foundation for team members and ACT research and development council.

Kelly Friend

Kellyann Friend, FMP, is Whitsons’ Chief Operating Officer of Contract Management and oversees our corporate, school nutrition and residential accounts. During the nineteen years she has been with Whitsons, Kelly has been involved with many aspects of the company. She actively assists with business development and played a critical role in shaping the current structure of the organization. She was instrumental in completely revamping our entire catering division and bringing in new catering business. In fact, Kelly has served some of the most prestigious facilities and individuals in New York, including Bette Midler, Bill Cosby, Martin Scorcese and other famous entertainers. She is known for her dedication to excellence and her flair for creating truly extraordinary events. Her other areas of expertise include quality assurance, increasing revenue, assessing productivity and developing additional business opportunities. She also works closely with the rest of the executive team in developing and implementing new concepts, products and marketing and merchandising programs. Kelly also heads up Whitsons’ emergency services division and is responsible for coordinating all corporate resources in the event of a natural or manmade disaster. Vjyu Iyengar is currently the foodservice director for one of public school districts in Massachusetts, where she manages all aspects of the District’s dining and catering services. Her responsibilities include menu planning and purchasing, marketing and merchandising programs, client communications, student interaction and feedback, bookkeeping, payroll and monthly client reports. She is also responsible for overseeing catering services.

Zoe is currently the Assistant Food Service Director for New Britain Public Schools, where she coordinates the district's catered affairs with style and flair. Zoe holds an Associate's Degree in Baking and Pastry Art from Johnson & Wales and a Bachelor's Degree in Nutritional Science from University of Connecticut (with a minor in English, concentration in Food Science) and is certified as a School Nutrition Specialist.
