Butternut Squash SmoothieSquash is a nutrient-rich vegetable that can make an excellent addition to your smoothie.  Squash contains vitamins A, which is important for vision and immune system support. Squash also contains vitamin C, which is a powerful antioxidant. A one-cup serving of winter squash provides about half of the daily requirement of vitamin C and 4.5 times the daily requirement of vitamin A.

Yield 3.5 cups (2 glasses)


1 ½ cups almond milk

1 ¼ cup canned pureed squash

2-3 dates

1 tablespoon honey

½ teaspoon cinnamon

¼ teaspoon ground ginger

1/8 teaspoon nutmeg

¼ teaspoon pure vanilla extract

1 cup ice cubes



Add all ingredients into a blender and blend on high until liquefied. Pour into chilled glass and enjoy!
