FarmFreshWhitsons Culinary Group™ is committed to providing our customers the freshest and highest quality ingredients available in the market.  By developing local partnerships, Whitsons provides added value to our programs while supporting the local community and “staying true to the local fresh movement”. Our Greenleaf Cuisine concept is an example of how Whitsons helps promote the local farms our produce is harvested from. With our "Vegetable or Fruit of the Month" program we highlight produce purchased from local farms in schools.

For the month of March we are recognizing our local New York vendors with our “I Love New York” campaign.  We have selected companies that manufacture here in New York and we are proud to support them.

Purchasing products locally helps stimulate the local economy and support family farms.  Whitsons carefully selects its’ vendors to ensure that each one meets the same high standards of quality, safety, and sanitation.  Each year Whitsons Culinary Group sources an average of 52% of our product mix locally, either through our distributors or by developing partnerships directly with local vendors. Some of the core items sourced locally include produce, dairy, fresh bakery items, juices, water, coffee, pizza dough, beef and poultry, seafood, dressings, pastas and snacks.

Below is just a short list of our local New York vendors that represent the quality that Whitsons strives to maintain. Our goal for 2016 is to continue to increase our New York local vendor purchasing. We strongly believe that this continuing effort will help increase New York manufacturing into the future.
