Hurricanes Irene, Katrina & Floyd

AMERICAN RED CROSS

In the aftermath of Hurricane Irene, we were activated by the American Red Cross to assist with disaster relief. We were onsite within 24-hours serving hot meals to affected areas in New Jersey and continued to serve 70,000 meals to aid in the recovery efforts. Following Hurricane Katrina, we were prepared to provide the Red Cross with 50,000 meals per day and remained on standby, though we were ultimately not deployed. When Hurricane Floyd threatened the east coast, we provided 4,000 prepackaged, shelf-stable breakfasts and lunches to the Red Cross in Manhattan within 24 hours.
