Whitsons Partners to Inspire and Educate the Next Generation of Culinary Professionals
The Whitsons team at Commack UFSD, in New York, was proud to partner with Wilson Tech to give senior students in their Culinary Arts Program the opportunity to put their education into real-world practice.
Chef Tony DiStefano and General Manager Chris Fusco led a group of five seniors in preparing and serving school lunch to more than 800 of their fellow students. The culinary students helped prepare and serve Chicken Teriyaki Stir Fry with Vegetables & Rice, as well as Tofu options and a Brownie Jubilee dessert.
The culinary program students will return to the Commack High School kitchen and cafeteria for more planned events, gaining on-going professional experience for a career in culinary arts throughout their senior year.
