After a successful year piloting the Adopt a Cow program in conjunction with the Dairy Excellence Foundation, Fresh Picks Cafe, part of the Whitsons Family of Companies, is excited to launch an expanded nutrition education program for the 2024-2025 school year called “Brie’s Farm Fresh Adventures.”  

Students will learn about the life cycle of a dairy cow local to New Hampshire, guided by our lovable cartoon mascot Brie the Cow, who will teach them about important dairy facts, healthy lifestyle habits, and what it’s like to spend a day on a dairy farm!  

During the last school year, students watched the real-life calf Amita, (born in Claremont, NH), grow to become a strong young cow, who provided her milk to Cabot Creamery in Vermont, which was then served as cheese in Fresh Picks cafeterias, enhancing our locally sourced initiative. We expect this year’s calf to be born this month, and simply cannot wait until we get to meet her!
