The World Trade Center, NYC
SEPTEMBER 11th ATTACKS – SALVATION ARMY OF GREATER NY
Within hours after the World Trade Center attacks on September 11th, we were contacted by the Salvation Army to provide food to thousands of rescue workers at Ground Zero. We were on-site serving meals to the rescue and recovery teams, as well as to displaced residents, within 12 hours. We worked with the Salvation Army to serve up to 12,000 hot meals on a daily basis to the workers as they removed debris and searched for victims. We served meals 24 hours per day for 9 months, serving 4 million meals. In addition, we instituted an unprecedented program to revitalize the downtown restaurants that were affected by the tragedy.
OGDEN ALLIED BUILDING SERVICES
When a bomb exploded in the World Trade Center in 1993, we were there providing food to Ogden Allied cleaning crews who went in to clean and repair interior damage done by the bomb.
